The red carpet was rolled out for 100 of the "Glitterati" of
the Brisbane Jewish Community at this star-studded inaugural
WIZO Queensland event. Paparazzi were waiting to snap the
guests as they arrived, many of whom were dressed in fabulous
costumes inspired by the evening's theme.
An appeal, the first of its kind for WIZO Queensland, raised funds
for the WIZO "House of Dreams" project in Israel. Guest speaker,
WIZO Australia Federal President Jo Gostin, inspired people to
give generously - and give they did!
A beautiful painting by the renowned Richard Werner was auctioned
with David Paratz being the successful bidder. Miriam Goldman
won the holiday for two at the Palazzo Versace Hotel.

Our much-loved WIZO Queensland President, Myrna Freed, celebrated her 65th birthday
with a party held in Westlakes.
She requested that, instead of bringing gifts, her family and
friends make donations to WIZO Queensland.
To Myrna, we say "Mazel tov and many happy returns!"
